Best Vegan Food On Amazon (And Supplements)

If you are reading this, you are probably familiar with Amazon.  (Yes? Thought so) Amazon is one of those things that I truly didn’t understand the hype of for YEARS.  It wasn’t until we went plant-based and I had children that I really valued the service Amazon offers.

I CAN GET SOMETHING OVERNIGHT. SAY WHHHHAT?

Our true love of Amazon all started when my first son struggled with skin conditions during his first year. For nearly 12 months we fought a severe case of eczema and NOTHING seemed to help.

I ordered countless “eczema creams” on Amazon to help cure his fresh baby skin. Unfortunately nothing worked.

(Thankfully we later attributed the eczema to eggs which made ditching eggs when going plant-based WAY easier)

Then he was hit again. He came down with this annoying virus (I think it’s a virus anyway…) called Molluscum Contagiosum. If you don’t know what that is (other than it being ANNOYING beyond belief) it’s a contagious pimple like rash that typically lasts 6 months. Oh and there is no real treatment. Of course.

UPDATE 9/9/2020: I now have an Amazon Storefront where all my favorite products can be found! So for all my “one-stop-shoppers” you may want to give that a look. 🙂

Thankfully, other than us all being annoyed and it looking kind of gross, he was still fine and healthy. He was just covered in these silly little pimple like spots. Multiple times we went to the doctor and they basically said we had to let it run its course OR they can burn them off.

We would not be burning them so we were waiting it out.  It had already been a few months – what would be a few more.

PS: His molluscum lasted a year…. And then our second son ALSO had it for almost a year but thankfully not as badly. But onto our story about Amazon Prime….

Our Journey Finding Vegan Food on Amazon

One day as I was breastfeeding my little guy I turned to the wonderful world of Amazon Prime.

I search “Molluscum treatment” and TADA a beautiful, natural product came up. I clicked. Ordered. And it was delivered in 24 hours.

PS: If your little one (or you!) is struggling with Molluscum, this treatment ACTUALLY worked. So glad I found this product on Amazon.

THIS IS THE BEAUTY OF AMAZON.

The reason I shared that story is because what I realized during those times is that Amazon really is a great tool for those who have dietary, medical, or lifestyle differences and challenges.

AMAZON HAS EVERYTHING.

So in this post I want to share with you the AWESOME vegan products available on Amazon that you can have delivered to your home in just a day or two with Amazon Prime

VEGAN SUPPLEMENTS YOU CAN GET ON AMAZON PRIME

Let’s talk about supplements. When we first when plant-based I wanted to be sure that I was getting in all the vitamins, minerals, nutrients, etc that I needed. I did some research and knew that there were a few I should DEFINITELY be taking; B12, iron, and omega-3.

Naturally I went to Amazon to begin the search and here is what I’ve found.

1. B12 Supplements Available On Amazon

I started with B12 because I knew that this was pretty impossible to get on a plant-based diet. During my search I found DOZENS of options but the one we tried and continue to order is this one from MyKind Organics.

We love this one because it is a spray which makes it super easy to use but here are a few others we have tried and would use again if necessary.

2. Iron supplements available on Amazon

Iron is a challenging thing to buy because many people (including myself) get nauseous from the supplements. If you are taking an iron supplement I HIGHLY encourage you take it before bed to minimize the nausea.

Now personally I found that getting iron from my multivitamin was the best option and I will share some of those options below. But first I want to mention a few stand alone iron supplements.

When it comes to vegan multivitamins WITH iron, here are a few options:

As far as iron supplements we use, I personally use the Rainbow Light Prenatal One and have no issues with an upset stomach. However, I do try to take it at night. Overall it is really great but is a large pill so if pills aren’t your thing, you might want to try a different option.

3. Omega-3 supplements available on Amazon

Here’s the thing about Omega-3 fatty acids. They are EASILY found in vegan foods (in the ALA form) which I will share in this section. However, many people still struggle to get enough of them.

Additionally, the ALA form is not easily converted into the DHA or EPA form which means many still choose to supplement. (Learn more about the different forms of Omega-3)

Our absolute favorite way to increase our omega intake is by using hemp seeds or hemp hearts on basically everything we can.

They have a mild flavor but are packed with nutrients that are hard to say no to. Hands down our favorite brand is from Manitoba Harvest and not to much surprise, it’s available on Amazon!

If you are wanting to take an additional supplement because you aren’t 100% confident in the whole plant food sources, here are a few great ones.

If you are wanting some other plant based food options, consider adding flax seeds, chia seeds, soy based foods, or walnuts, just to name a few.

Now that we have talked about some of the vegan supplements available on Amazon, I want to talk about FOODS. This is the fun stuff.

And delicious stuff.

And sorry, it won’t all be healthy because what’s the fun in that.

Are you ready? If you are hungry, be strong or you might end up with an Amazon delivery of vegan food at your door in two days!

Jumping right in, let’s look at some of our favorite snack foods available.

Vegan snack foods available on amazon

When it comes to picking snacks, it really depends on what your lifestyle is like at the time. When I was breastfeeding my babies, I relied on trail mixes like this Power Up Trail Mix.

Now that my kids are older, I love the convenience of having snacks with me when we go to Target or head out to grocery shop. Things like BEAR – Real Fruit Yoyos or Hippeas Organic Chickpea Puffs are fun treats for outings.

If you are looking for some other options, here are a few options available on Amazon:

This list is all about staple groceries/food that you can find on Amazon. These are less snacks and more true vegan groceries. If you are looking for vegan food on Amazon these are great (healthy) options to start with.

What’s even more exciting is Prime Pantry! Now, we don’t use prime pantry because I don’t trust my spending BUT if we didn’t have such a good routine with our local stores, I would be all over it.

I was playing around on Prime Pantry and simply searched “vegan” and look at alllll the stuff that popped up!

(Please make note that not ALL items I’m finding after searching “vegan” are actually vegan so always double check!)

PS: If the Hellmann’s Vegan Mayo is the first thing you’re seeing on Prime Pantry “Vegan” too, it’s DELICIOUS. We buy it at our local store and love it. Works perfect in macaroni salad. * drool *

Here are a few of the things on Prime Pantry that we currently purchase/have purchased and enjoy:

I could obviously share DOZENS of things so instead of doing that I’m going to try something new!
